Pro bono opportunity with Liverpool John Moores University, Legal Advice Centre

Staffed by students, and supervised by experienced clinic staff and volunteer solicitors from leading Liverpool law firms, the Centre advises on a wide range of legal issues.

What are you looking for volunteers to help with?

The Legal Advice Centre at Liverpool John Moores University is experiencing a high level of demand for employment law advice. We would like to expand our base of employment law solicitor volunteers, whose role is to supervise a student conducting a fact finding pro bono interview with a client (remotely) and then assisting with the finalisation of a letter of advice thereafter. Each case is around 2-4 hours of your time (including an hour or so in the interview itself) and appointment times are flexible to suit your schedule. All our work is currently being conducted remotely or by telephone.

What will the time commitment be?

4 hours per semester

What will volunteers get out of this?

The opportunity to give back to society

Person specification - what type of volunteers are you looking for?

Employment law solicitors, 2 years minimum PQE

Application process - is there any information you would like applicants to provide?
