Volunteering opportunity
The Law Corner are looking for volunteer qualified solicitors specialising in:
- employment
- housing
- consumer
- small claims
The role of volunteer solicitors is a supervisory role - supervising caseworkers and students interviewing clients and preparing letters of advice, filling out forms, liaising with the other parties etc.
The Law Corner is based at The Living Centre in King's Cross but volunteers can either attend the clinic in-person or remotely.
Advice is covered by the clinic's professional indemnity insurance.
Person specification
Volunteers must be qualified solicitors (with practising certificates) who are experienced in one of the areas of law listed above.
Time commitment
As the clinic does end-to-end casework, volunteers must be available to supervise at least 2 cases a year.
