Pro bono opportunity with the Employment Tribunal Litigants in Person Support Scheme (ELIPS)

ELIPS provides much needed pro bono assistance to unrepresented litigants. It currently covers London Central, Cardiff, Bristol, Midlands (West), Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester Employment Tribunals.

What are you looking for volunteers to help with?

We are looking for volunteers to assist with Online ELIPS’ clinics. Clinics usually operate twice monthly via Zoom on a Thursday. ELIPS’ volunteers provide support in the form of one-off advice in up to six appointments per day, with each lasting for approximately 40 minutes. Sessions run from 9am-12pm and from 1pm-4pm.

What will the time commitment be?

You can volunteer for a full or half day just once or as often you like. There is no preparatory or follow up work to do.

What will volunteers get out of this?

An opportunity to advise on a diverse range of topics in relation to Tribunal claims; obtain experience of advising Claimants (for those who mostly do Respondent work); and to make a real difference to unrepresented litigants struggling to navigate the Tribunal system.
