Established in 2021, The LGBTQ+ Law Clinic is one of the only services in the United Kingdom that provides free legal advice to the LGBTQ+ community.
With help from volunteer lawyers and law firms, the clinic has been able to provide many of the most vulnerable in society with professional legal advice and representation on areas such as immigration, employment, housing (please note that this is devolved in Wales), discrimination, gender recognition and defamation.
Volunteering opportunity
The clinic are looking for a supervisor to spearhead the project. Whilst the current team is able to manage operationally, the supervisor would have a strategic overview of the project, liaise with the project's directors and provide legal direction occasionally.
The supervisor would need to have at least 2 years PQE, share the clinic's ideals and would ideally be a member of the community themselves.
This would be a demanding but highly rewarding role with a chance to lead an extremely successful and well-respected clinic.
Please feel free to contact info@lgbtqlawclinic.co.uk for an informal chat about the role.
