United Legal Access is a virtual legal advice clinic providing initial legal advice online, covering contract, consumer, employment and housing law. Volunteering opportunity
Due to the high number of legal enquiries we are receiving via our online advice service, we are looking for volunteer lawyers to help answer some of the questions we receive and to provide initial written legal advice and information to those using our service.
We are looking for lawyers with contract, employment and housing law experience.
What will the time commitment be?
We are flexible and will only require you to volunteer when you are available. As it's an online service, you can answer enquiries at any time and from anywhere.
What will volunteers get out of this?
Through volunteering with United Legal Access you will be helping people understand their legal rights and what they are entitled to, as well as empowering them to make sound decisions once they know where they stand and what they need to do. Not only will you be giving back to the community, but you will expand on your knowledge as you will deal with a variety of legal issues.
Person specification - what type of volunteers are you looking for?
Solicitors, barristers or chartered legal executives with experience in either contract, housing, employment or consumer protection law.

Application process - is there any information you would like applicants to provide
United Legal Access will check credentials and arrange an online meeting to explain how they operate. If both are happy to proceed, they will send the volunteer agreement and handbook. Once reviewed and signed they will show you how their online platform works and as soon as you're ready to volunteer, will start to assign a questions to you.
