LawWorks and Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards

Nominations for this year's LawWorks and Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards are now closed.

LawWorks Student Pro Bono Awards 2026 logoSupported by the Attorney General, the awards celebrate the best pro bono activities undertaken by law students and law schools and the positive impact on those assisted.

Sponsored by LexisNexis the categories for the 2026 awards are:

  • Best New Pro Bono Activity;
  • Best Contribution by an Individual Student;
  • Best Contribution by a Law School (Undergraduate and Postgraduate institutions);
  • Best Contribution by a Team of Students.

The deadline for nominations has now past.

Judging and the awards event

The annual LawWorks and Attorney General Student Awards will be celebrated at an awards ceremony on Thursday 28th April.

All of the shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend.

The judges for the 2026 Awards are:

  • I. Stephanie Boyce, former President of The Law Society of England and Wales (2021-2022)
  • Toby Brown, Chair of National Pro Bono Week and Member of the Bar Council Pro Bono & Social Responsibility Committee
  • Mark Evans, President of The Law Society of England and Wales
  • Marina Faggionato, Joint Chair of the Bar Council Pro Bono & Social Responsibility Committee
  • Josh Giddens,  Director of Practical Guidance, LexisNexis UK & Ireland
  • Deborah Smith, Executive Director and Senior Counsel, Goldman Sachs and LawWorks Trustee
