LawWorks have responded to the Legal Services Board’s (LSB) consultation on its business plan for 2019.
Our submission emphasises the important role the LSB has in enabling access to justice and creating a supportive regulatory environment for pro bono; the consultation proposes three key policy objectives for the LSB as the oversight regulator.
In welcoming the LSB’s commitment to promoting public legal education (PLE) we make reference to the vision statement for PLE (which LawWorks helped to produce), launched by the Solicitor General last November. Our response also builds on other policy work we have undertaken on regulatory issues.
