Recruitment of Chair of Board of Trustees - LawWorks

Founded in 1997 as the Solicitors Pro Bono Group, LawWorks is a charity and membership organisation working with solicitors and law students to support, promote and encourage legal pro bono work.

LawWorks helps to facilitate access to justice for those in need of advice, who are not eligible for legal aid and without means to pay.

Legal pro bono is not a substitute for legal aid, but while its overall contribution may be relatively small, its impact can be significant and profound.

With a new three-year strategy in place, a new Chief Executive and a committed and talented team of staff and trustees, we are seeking a Chair to help achieve our ambition.

With a strong commitment to the charity sector and enabling access to justice for all, you will bring a good balance of experience, skills and attributes. You must have the experience and ability to inspire confidence among our members, the legal profession and other stakeholders.
