In House Pro Bono Day 2024

As part of In House Pro Bono Day on 24th April, LawWorks will be hosting a series of online legal workshops for small charities and not-for-profits.

Designed for staff and volunteers of small not-for-profits and charities, five online sessions will take place across the day, with a 6th on Thursday 25th April. All sessions will be delivered by expert lawyers and take place online using Zoom. 

You and your colleagues are welcome to attend as many as you wish.

    12:15 - 13:15 Session 3: Commercial contracts

    Topics this session will cover include:

    • Contracts 101 – different types of contracts and when to use them
    • Tips on how to review a contract
    • Boilerplate clauses

    13:30 - 14:30 Session 4: Employment 

    Topics this session will cover include:

    • Managing employees vs. managing volunteers
    • Managing freelancers and contractors
    • Dealing with employee issues and complaints

    14:45 - 15:45 Session 5: Charity governance

    Topics this session will cover include:

    • Ensuring governing documents are fit for purpose
    • Having the right policies in place
    • How to get the best out of your trustees
