Summary of Service

Islington Legal Advice Service is a free service that provides legal advice every week on a Thursday evening. It has been running since 1971 and is made possible by the volunteer lawyers and receptionists involved giving their time free of charge. Free legal advice is available every Thursday night from 7pm to 8pm. We will do our best to see everyone who attends but it depends on volunteer availability and numbers will be limited due to safety measures in place in order to protect both staff and visitors. We provide initial advice and form filling. We do not provide casework but can assist with correspondence and sometimes, if appropriate, can help to obtain representation. COVID-19 safety precautions: please do not attend ILAC if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Please come on your own unless it is absolutely necessary to bring someone with you. We will require all attendees to wear face masks, have their temperature taken and use hand sanitizer on entering the premise
