Summary of Service
The University of Westminster Student Law Clinic provides free legal advice and assistance to the public and learning opportunities for law students at Westminster Law School. All services are supervised by a practising solicitor or barrister. Employment advice is available on for example, disputes relating to dismissal, procedures at work, discrimination. Housing advice is available on non-urgent housing matters for example, return of deposits, disrepair and service charge disputes. Family advice is available on for example, divorce/dissolution, disagreements between parents and carers regarding arrangements for children, finances following relationship breakdown, domestic violence (non-emergency situations). Immigration advice is available, for example, applications for Indefinite Leave to Remain, applications based on family ties, asylum, EU citizen applications.
