Summary of Service

An appointment will be made for you to attend a meeting, either in-person or on Zoom, where you will be interviewed by two student advisors, supervised by an academic or a volunteer lawyer. Legal advice will not be given at the meeting. The student advisors will research your problem and send you a letter of advice, usually 14 days from the date of your appointment, which will be prepared under supervision of the supervisor. The Clinic provides an advice only service. We cannot provide representation in any court or tribunal or contact an opponent on your behalf. If you would like to request an appointment, please complete the Legal Advice Centre online form available on our website: https://www.socialsciences.manchester.ac.uk/legal-advice-centre/services/request-an-appointment/
