Summary of Service
The Private Client Clinic offers free legal assistance in a limited range of private client matters. Our service focuses on:
• Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) – advice on and assistance with preparing and registering LPAs.
• Simple Will Drafting – drafting straightforward wills for eligible clients.
• Estates and Probate – providing initial, one-off legal advice on estate administration and probate-related issues.
The Clinic is run by law students under the close supervision of qualified legal professionals and academic staff. Appointments are usually offered during term time, and clients will typically attend an initial interview followed by a written response, advice, or draft document where appropriate.
We are not able to deal with urgent matters.
As an educational clinic, we are unable to provide ongoing representation or conduct work that falls outside the scope of the service. We can signpost you to other legal service providers who may be able to do so.
