Pro Bono in Practice - Cardiff, 27th June

The evening is an informal and friendly opportunity to find out more about local pro bono activity and how you can get involved. We will hear from members of the judiciary, practitioners who have volunteered, and examples of great practice in pro bono from law clinics.

Drinks available from 5.30pm - presentations begin at 6.00pm, followed by informal drinks and a buffet

Hosted by Martin Barnes, Chief Executive of LawWorks.

Speakers include:

  • Employment Judge Sian Davies;
  • Professor Richard Owen, Director of the Swansea Law Clinic;
  • Daniela Mahapatra,Solicitor, Wales Representative of the ELA, and pro bono volunteer;
  • Michael Clarke, Legal Principle at the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Following the short presentations there will be a chance to ask questions and discuss opportunities over an informal glass of wine and food. If you are already involved or interested in taking part in pro bono, or just want to find out more, please do come along.
