The clinics roundtable presents a fantastic opportunity to meet with fellow clinic coordinators and clinic volunteers in the legal advice sector, to discuss current issues arising in clinics and exchange ideas for working towards best practice.
Agenda - Clinics and the LASPO review; clinic resources (update); data & impact
There will be contributions from:
- James Sandbach, Director of Policy and External Affairs at LawWorks, will give a policy presentation on the Government’s post implementation review of LASPO (the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012) and how clinics can engage in the review.
- Richard Pitkethly, Head of Learning and Practice at LawWorks, will provide an overview of our resources for clinics; Richard has been leading on a refresh of LawWorks’ web based resources and templates for clinics.
- Milla Gregor, Independent Consultant working on LawWorks impact and monitoring, will talk about the changes to our data collection process. Capturing reliable data about clients and services underpins all of our policy work, resources and learning about what makes for effective pro bono and clinic development across the network.
In advance of the roundtable we invite you to submit any queries you would like to raise for discussion on the day, please email [email protected]
Refreshments will be available from 9:00am with the roundtable starting at 9:30am.
