An introduction to consumer law

This session will provide an overview, as well as focusing on topical issues, such as Brexit.

Delivered by Jason Freeman, Director of Consumer Law at the Competition & Markets Authority. This session will provide an introduction to consumer law, as well as focusing on topical issues, such as Brexit. It is the first of two consumer law sessions.

The areas covered include:

  • What is consumer law
  • Impact of Brexit
  • Consumer rights when facing misleading or aggressive conduct
  • Consumer rights for breach of contract

The second session to be delivered by Jason Freeman, and designed to compliment this first session, is scheduled for 9th June at 11am (Zoom). Whilst we would encourage those attending this first session to go on to attend the second session, this first session can be attended as a stand-alone session.

The session will be delivered via Zoom.
