Introduction to Tenancies – Law and Practice

Housing Law in Wales is devolved to the Welsh Government, in 2014 the Welsh National Assembly implemented the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 which provides a new system of regulation for landlords and letting agents in the private rented sector, and reforms the law on homelessness.

This introductory session focusses on the private rented sector aspect of the Act and will cover:

  • Security of tenure in the private rented sector (PRS)
  • The various occupation status of occupiers in the PRS
  • Overview of Possession Procedures
