Royal Holloway's Legal Advice Centre provides free legal advice to the local community and beyond. We advise on landlord and tenant matters, contract, consumer, and family law. We are specifically looking for housing lawyers to assist us.

What are you looking for volunteers to help with?

We are looking for volunteers to assist with housing matters, including landlord and tenant. We currently operate a remote service every Wednesday during academic term time, and for 4 weeks during the summer (July).

What will the time commitment be?

In total, approximately 2 hours per month. The initial telephone advice would be for 15 minutes and we would limit 2 clients per week. The Clinic only operates in term time only.

What will volunteers get out of this?

Volunteers will be able to gain supervisory experience of our students and contribute to our invaluable pro bono services at a time where people need our help most. Volunteers that are not attached to a regulated SRA organisation will be covered under our indemnity insurance.

We require a solicitor of any PQE.
