University of Law Birmingham Employment Rights Advice Line (BERAL)

In light of the current and ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, no clinics in the LawWorks Clinics Network are currently offering face-to-face advice.

The clinics listed have indicated to us that they will be delivering their service online and/or by phone. We would recommend that you contact them directly to check their current operating procedure.

This page will be updated with details as they are made available to us.

Summary of Service

BERAL offers free preliminary advice on employment law issues to employees. All advice is given by telephone during weekly clinics on Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm throughout the year. Advice is given by fully qualified specialist employment law solicitors, who work on a voluntary basis, and are assisted by students from the University of Law. Appointments are subject to availability. Clients should call 01483 216055 to access the service. Student advisors will then return the calls to collect details about the case and, where possible, allocate the case to the next clinic.
