1 - CLEO
The Clinical Legal Education Organisation is a useful group to make contact with if you are an academic with a desire to incorporate practical legal experience into your students' academic study.  Information on the group can be obtained at this link to the UKCLE website.

CLEO held its last conference in July 2009, in Australia, in conjunction with the International Journal for Clinical Legal Education.  This followed the Symposium on 9 January 2009 in Newcastle (at Northumbria University) and the 2008 Conference in Cork.

For more information on CLEO please contact Kevin Kerrigan at Northumbria University -  kevin.kerrigan@unn.ac.uk.

2 - PLEAS (Public Legal Education and Support) Taskforce
PLEAS was an independent body set up to develop proposals on how to promote and improve public legal education in society. PLEAS was supported by the Ministry of Justice, and membership was made up of people who had an interest in helping to improve public legal education. Their report can be accessed via this link.

3 - Plenet
The public legal education theme is being continued at Plenet.  The Plenet website aims to share good practice, case studies and analysis of the wide range of activities that involve PLE.

4 - International Bar Association
The IBA has a dedicated website aimed at increasing and encouraging information-sharing among the global community of legal professionals at all levels (including students) who are either engaged in innovative pro bono initiatives or who wish to be involved, both on an international and on a local basis.
