“I never cease to be amazed by the Committee’s enthusiasm, conscientiousness and willingness to give up their social life to help others.”
The University of Strathclyde Law Clinic is an organisation with nearly 200 student members, providing advice and representation to 151 clients in the last year.
A team of around 20 students forms the committee. They are charged with the day to day running of the Law Clinic and, as volunteers, they have ownership of clinic policy and ethos as well as training new recruits, controlling its democratic function, developing new projects and acquiring external funding.
With a contribution of 2,300 hours of administrative support from the committee last year it is easy to see why the Clinic has been so successful.By taking ownership of the Law Clinic, and contributing so much time in addition to their casework duties, the Committee has done an excellent job.
