Riot Help for Small Businesses

LawWorks has set up a new scheme offering assistance to small businesses affected by the riot. Please note that this is not currently a service LawWorks can normally offer and it is therefore at this point limited to those smallest businesses that have been negatively affected by the recent unrest.

We may be able to help your business with a wide variety of legal work including company law, employment law, intellectual property law, property law; tax/VAT law; insolvency and help in drafting contingency plans; insurance law; health and safety law; general contractual / commercial matters etc. but the legal assistance must be required as a result of the riots.

How does it work?

You apply to us using our online application form. Project staff review the application and help you understand the scope of advice required. If the application is approved, we then try and match you with a volunteer legal advisor who provides the legal advice for free. Once accepted, you will be a client of the firm but we are on hand to deal with any problems.

It may be that referral to a lawyer is not the best way to resolve your issue.  In this instance we will offer practical guidance and information over phone or email and/or referral to another organisation better placed to help.
